The Division of Plant Sciences maintains excellent graduate programs with classroom instruction and research supervision provided by leading scientists in the field. A student can select training from a wide range of courses and research programs to prepare for a career in research, teaching, industry and extension work. Take courses in both engineering and health services management to earn an MS in Industrial Engineering and an MHA simultaneously. The Division of Plant Sciences offers graduate programs leading to master of science and doctor of philosophy degrees in Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences with a specialty in one of five graduate program areas. Prepare to manage and lead complex healthcare delivery systems and operations with this dual degree that combines industrial engineering and healthcare management. Dual Master of Science in Industrial Engineering & Master of Health Administration The dual program has been carefully structured to meet the student’s educational goals while minimizing the coursework necessary for obtaining both degrees. The complex problems facing today’s organizations often require that the engineer’s analytical ability be applied simultaneously with the manager’s integrative perspective. It is designed to serve those students who wish to combine the specialized skills of the industrial engineer with the general knowledge of the professional manager. The dual Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Master of Business Administration program is open to highly qualified individuals who hold a baccalaureate degree in industrial engineering from an accredited college or university. Dual MS in Industrial Engineering and MBA Program The student’s graduate course GPA must be 3.0 or greater. A minimum of 12 credit hours must be from courses at the 8000 level or above and of those classes 9 credit hours must be IMSE courses. Once the student has completed 126 credit hours, (includes at least 12 credit hours of dual enrollment), the corresponding bachelor’s degree will be conferred and they will become graduate students in our MS program to complete the remaining 18 hours of graduate credit.
